John Houghton Biography

John Houghton is a public speaker, subject matter expert, and founder of MobileCast Media, a digital marketing agency. A Silicon Valley native, he grew up with early digital exposure, having participated in online ARPANET communities, the foundation of today’s internet. At age 9, he learned UNIX and BASIC, then Pascal at age 13. He didn’t want to do his algebra homework so he programmed his computer to do it for him.

John has lead strategy and marketing for brands that have generated over a half billion dollars in new license revenue, including Oracle and SAP. John currently is the head of MobileCast Media, a digital marketing agency that focuses on increasing revenue by building brands through improved search discovery and generating rich content-driven experiences.

John has worked with Honeywell, AT&T, Fidelity Investments, Chevron, Intel, GE, Reuters, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, BAE, Cisco, Ericsson, Yale University, SAP, Oracle, San Francisco Newspaper Association, Accenture, NeoPhotonics, San Francisco Opera, and Aruba Networks.

John has presented at conferences and trade shows on digital strategy since 2005. People appreciate his in-depth knowledge and audience research.
